Yoga as a way to fight Cellulite

Cellulite is a problem more dominant in the female population than in the male population. Various factors contribute to the formation of cellulites like obesity, bad diet, a stressful life style, hormonal changes and genetics. Some of these factors can be controlled by us whereas others cannot.

Cellulite exercises like walking, jogging, biking, hiking, squat, lunges, hip extension and yoga have been recommended as a way to control and fight cellulite. Of all the forms of exercise for reducing cellulite, yoga is one of the most unique because it teaches you to control both your mind and body. Yoga teaches many breathing exercises called ‘pranayams’ to make your lungs and heart stronger. It helps to increase the circulation of blood and lymphatic cells to your body. Various postures called ‘asana’ help to bring about flexibility and strength to your body. It not only increases the metabolism to burn fats but also builds and tones muscles in your body. Yoga teaches meditation to control your mind. Practicing the various  ‘dhyan mudras’ in a peaceful environment will bring a calmness in you and help you to get rid of stress and anger which contributes to cellulite formation too. Yoga as a form of cellulite exercise can be more rewarding if it is practiced regularly along with following a well balanced diet. The best time to do yoga is early in the morning.  Combine yoga with a good cellulite firming lotion and you will be good to go!
