Wooden desks are by far the best desks to use when comes to use in an office or at home for a computer. Plastic and metal type desks that are popular these days are just not as sturdy as a wooden desk is. The plastic ones wobble alot and sometimes when you accidentally bump into one, it shifts and in the worse case knocks something off the desk and breaks it. Hopefully not your computer.
Small old time wooden desks are probably the best wooden desks there are. These were desks that were made from thick woods like pine and oak. These desks are nearly impossible to move regardless if there is something on it or not. It really doesn’t have to be old but any kind of sturdy wooden desk structure is better than the new plastic, Tupperwarish stuff. I am sure that it is a cost cutting measure but without a doubt wooden desks are the way to go.
