Where their inner strength can draw the attention of everyone present. Bob would radiate this emotion even if standing next to others who also were striking of spirit. Just being near an individual with this dazzling force, had to energise those around him. It was never out of a plea for attention for Bob, it was simply his manner of self-giving.

I love that all his pictures exude a beat that is palpable even visually. Rhythm and reggae music are like a pair of identical twins that combine beautifully. Beating the skins and rhythm is part of me. Don’t start believing that a still picture can’t seize the essence of a beat and movement. The racing heart beat still maintains itself by paper thin will for as long as we tolerate it. Happily for the both of us, that the time when this image was created wasn’t misplaced through the generations.
