Going to wholesale trade shows is one way to find products to sell online but you can also find wholesale companies willing to sell you product to resell online.
Most of the time you will need a valid resellers certificate to either attend a wholesale trade show or buy from a legitimate wholesale company. You obtain this certificate when you register your business with your state.
Going to a wholesale trade show can take from 1 to 4 days depending on how much time you want to spend there. If you are new and haven’t been to a trade show before you will want to spend at least 2 days there to get used to how things work. You will want to bring copies of your resellers certificate to give to wholesale companies you setup an account with. You might also want to bring a list of things you are looking for. There will be thousands of wholesale companies represented at large trade shows and it can be overwhelming so sticking to a list is helpful.
