What to do for Acne on the Head

Any acne on head can be painful and difficult to treat, since our hair is very oily. Since many of the blemishes are not visible people often ignore them until they become infected and extremely painful. If you start to notice head acne appearing on your scalp, or on the outside of your hairline, you should take some steps to make it go away.

The obvious first step is to make sure your hair is cleaned often. Some people do not feel it is necessary to wash their hair every day, but if you have head acne you really need to remove any excess oils often. You will also want to change your pillow case on a daily basis, as large amounts of oil can build up there while you sleep.

Wearing a hat is also a big no-no, as it can further irritate the area. Many people expect face acne, but view head acne as a sign of bad hygiene, even when that is not the case. If you do not want to be viewed this way then it is a good idea to take proper care of your scalp to prevent this issue.
