A Trailer Tent is a great way to go camping with the family, whilst offering more comfort than traditional tent camping.
A Trailer Tent has its walls and and roof unfolded from a trailer body and pegged into the ground. the main sleeping and living compartments are suspended off the floor in the trailer and additional space is made by use of an awning. Once the tent part has been pegged out it looks very similar to a normal frame tent but with added advantages.
Trailer Tents are coming back into fashion because of their accessibility for young families. They are easier to tow and manoeuvre than normal caravans, with increase rear visibility and less wind resistance, but they also offer a higher level of comfort and luxury than camping in a tent.
They are substantially cheaper than normal caravans and make an excellent version of a cheap camping holiday. Prices for the unit are from £1400 for cheaper, 2 person models, up to approximately £8000 for a larger model.
