If you’ve ever had any amount of debt in your life – whether it be a car loan, a mortgage, or a credit card balance – you know the constant nagging stress of having debt. Even in this economy where people have blamed everyone from the banks to the government for the mess we’re in, I wonder why people aren’t able to see that it was our individual irresponsibility that got us here. Nobody forced me to buy my home. It wasn’t predatory lending. It was me making the decision to afford this payment, and I do afford it. No help from the government.
So when you’re thinking about whether to take on unsecured personal loans, think long and hard about finding a solution that improves your financial situation instead of making it worse. The stress of debt is far worse than the dollar cost.
