Way too many people out there spend far too much of their lives sitting on their rear ends in front of a computer screen; more or less wasting away while an entire world goes by outside their windows or just outside their front doors. Take my friend Matt, for example, who spends at least 18 hours a day in front of this laptop. When he’s not downloading music or posting articles on his website he’s either shopping for new clothes or books or paying one of his many utility bills. What’s more, he spends almost 5 hours a day on just one site alone, Axel’s Guitar Blog.
Apparently, Matt is a long time friend of Axel and his blog site and has been posting since the site’s inception in 1999. Matt not only blogs on the site, but also lends a hand in programming and advertising (whether he does this for free or Axel pays him is a bit of a mystery). Regardless, I think it’s clear some people need to learn to do some things that don’t involve the computer; the first step should be turning the machine off and then heading outside.
