Have you heard of the food pyramid? It’s basic premise is to set out some guidelines as to the nutritional value of certain foods and the amounts of those things that you should be consuming on a day-to-day basis.
The structure all of the food pyramid is thus: at the bottom of the pyramid are the breads and grains that you are supposed to eat on a daily basis. This is the largest part of the pyramid as it is supposed to represent the basis of good nutrition. The next part is fruit and vegetables which should give you a daily amount of vitamins and minerals. The next level up has milk and dairy products. Then there is meat, poultry, fish, eggs, nuts, and dried beans. The last level is oils, candy, and most of the things that are bad for you but tastes great.
