The Best Material For Your Baby Sleeping Bag

Do you want to know what the best material is for your baby sleeping bag? I bet you do, everyone that uses a baby sleeping bag would want to know the what the best material is for it.

I am not going to give away the secret just yet. But I will tell you a little about second place. In second place we have cotton. It is a really good material to use for your baby sleep sack. My baby sleeping bag was made out of cotton before I knew about the other types of materials out there.

There are also many different types of cotton. The most common is prima cotton and it is just fine. It will absorb moisture and it is nice and soft for your baby. If your baby has sensitive skin you may want to look into organic cotton.

The best material out there for your infant sleep sack is merino wool. This fabric is all natural and is quite pricey. When you typically think of wool you think of scratchy, well this is quite the opposite. Merino wool is soft and luxurious. It is also non-allergenic as wool has natural good bacteria that kills allergens like dust mites.

Merino wool also can absorb 35% of its own weight in moisture. This means that your baby is not going to wake up all sweaty because he or she was too hot during the night. Merino wool makes what I like to call, a micro climate around your baby. It will moderate your baby’s temperature through absorbing and expelling the moisture.

Like I said before, such an amazing fabric like this doesn’t come with its own drawbacks. The only drawback I have found so far is the price. The merino sheep is pretty rare and only thrives in certain parts of the world. If you can get yourself one of these baby sleeping bags you will not regret it.
