There are a lot of different types of teeth bleaching kits available to buy over the counter these days. It wasn’t all that long ago that if you wanted to get your teeth whitened you had to visit the dentist and he would do it for you. Before that, you actually had to just give them a darn good scrub with a toothbrush.
Teeth whitening systems that use a bleaching agent that you can take home from the dentist are generally contained within a tray to make application as safe as possible. The active ingredient that works to whiten teeth is a chemical known as carbamide peroxide and it comes in a strength of around 10%, sometimes a little bit more.
Although some people report that they fell a bit of discomfort in the teeth due to hypersensitivity in general the results are trouble free.
