I find it appalling how little thought people put into keeping their closet nice looking. (What’s worse are the peoples whose cars look as if they are a mobile homeless persons personal collection of items, but, that’s for another article!) I like to think it’s just that I appreciate a good, clean, organized work space. I work from home, so you can’t trick me into shoving all my things into one area like it’s clean. Next you create a system in which you put the clothes back into the closets and now the trick is to keep following that system and to get rid of anything that you don’t believe that you will ever use again.

If you have large things to store and you have no where to put them, think about converting your garage ceiling to a place that can store large equipment that is not used often. Your garage ceiling is practically the same square footage of the floor space of your garage yet it is an untapped location for storage. Installing a garage ceiling storage rack will allow you to store away things that do not need to be accessed regularly like luggage, holiday supplies and seasonal sports equipment. Make sure that the rack is installed securely and that the equipment is placed wisely so that nothing can fall down and either get damaged or damage someone in the garage. It is a good idea to always have a ladder available to retrieve your items when necessary.
