A common mistake most acne sufferers make is that they concentrate too much on treating their acne, rather than taking steps to prevent it. Most topical treatments available at your nearby pharmacy are both limited and temporary in their effectiveness. Worse, they do not really help to reduce or prevent your acne. Sometimes more involved treatment methods are employed, like laser acne treatment. But this can be very costly. Is there a better way?

Various scientific studies have been carried out that show that the frequency and severity of acne is directly related to what we eat. In fact, there are entire cultures that never experience acne, even during puberty. And this has been traced directly to their diet.

If you want to begin preventing acne and not just treating it, begin with your eating habits. A good place to start would be to reduce or cut out altogether milk, refined sugars, and fried foods and to eat more whole grains, vegetables and fruits. Many report significant improvement in their condition from just this simple change. Laser Acne Treatment Guide

For many acne starts and ends in puberty, but for some it can continue into adulthood. The best acne treatments are usually based on individual needs and on a case by case basis. One thing is sure, trying different methods of acne treatment is usually the best way to find one that works for you.

At the center of the acne issue is oil on the skin, which an excess of is usually the main cause of acne. This is why it is very important to keep the skin as clean as possible at all times.
As I was reading a magazine today, I came across an article about acne prevention that discussed the use of acne lotions. Knowing a thing or two about acne, I decided to read the article and many of the facts were wrong and misleading. They claimed that there were new acne scars lotion types out on the market.

The reason I know about acne scars is because I have them. I meet with my dermatologist and discuss acne lotions that are popular. Never once did I see anything about an anti-acne lotion that also took care of scarring. Now, I could be wrong by believing that lotion cannot remove scars, but I need to see some facts before I believe what the magazine was telling all the readers. Educate yourself on acne lotions, and don’t believe that they will get rid of acne scars.
