I came across a good article about stock market timing. I always thought that it was impossible. It also seems illogical to think that you can stay fully invested 100 percent of the time. A lot of us saw our portfolios decrease by about 40 percent last year and no one really advocated selling to prevent it. If you ask me that seems stupid. I think one of the reasons that the people on Wall Street don’t advocate selling is because they are too busy making money off the little guy. If they tell us to sell when they are taking their profits, it will make stock prices fall faster. That’s the last thing that they want. If you want to avoid the kind of year a lot of people had last year, you are going to have to learn more about doing it yourself — don’t expect Wall Street to help.
