Some Former Users Question FDA Hydroxycut Decision

When the FDA made the decision to recall all Hydroxycut products in May of 2009, many users voiced their displeasure with this choice. While they conceded that some users had experienced problems, most notably issues with their livers, they also felt that for most people, the various Hydroxycut products have been quite effective as weight loss aids. Of course, no diet pill can do the hard work of actually eating less and exercising more. Only dieters themselves can do that. However, some viewed the choice by the FDA as an extreme one. After all, they have other options that are less extreme than banning or recalling, such as posting warning labels on products that they have serious concerns about or that have caused health problems in only a small number of individuals. The decision has certainly caused an interesting debate, to say the least.
