So you want to keep bees? I can’t say that I blame you. Beekeeping is a worthwhile and interesting endeavor. Not only are bees industrious and fascinating they produce what I consider one of the world’s most perfect sweeteners – honey.
When you are getting started with beekeeping, I would reccommend that you purchase a beekeeping book or guide to get you started. Bees aren’t complicated and mostly take care of themselves, but with animals that sting is is a good idea to know what you are doing. Then you will also have the skillset to keep your hive happy and healthy.
One of the surprising things about bees is that they don’t need a lot of flowers super nearby to make honey. They can actually travel for miles to get to what they need.
