We are so lucky to live in a world were technology just gets better and better all the time. Our society has become extremely adept at designing gadgets aimed to improve our way of life and standards of living. It may seem like a silly gadget at this point but a robot vacuum cleaner is a revolutionary concept.
For many years scientists have told us how in the future our homes will be increasingly automated and robots will do our chores. This is a major step in that direction however it is considerably less scary that the images created by films such as I, Robot. In the film starring Will Smith robots help households with all kinds of tasks but then try to take over the world.
Robot vacuum cleaners are small little boxes which scurry around the floors cleaning them. The earlier releases first seen on the market around 2001 by brands such as Electrolux were not great however current models have evolved a great deal and become considerably more effective. Brands such as iRobot now create a whole range of different models to suit different budgets and needs. I strongly recommend everyone reads more about robot vacuum cleaners and if they have a little extra money considers getting one.
