Coffee tables are the most practical and usually the most aesthetically pleasing pieces of furniture you can have in your living room. You’ll find them sitting directly in front of your comfortable sofa or couch so that you can rest your food and beverages on them with easy access. There are a lot of different types of coffee tables out there but one of the easiest kinds to put together on your own (if you’re into that sort of thing) is the glass coffee table.
The glass coffee table is just like any other coffee table except that the table top is made out of a pane of thick glass. You can build a glass coffee table with any kind of base because as long as it can balance a glass pane on top of it, it can be a table. My first glass coffee table was built out of an old lobster trap. It was a square wooden base with the netting in the middle and we put a glass pane on top.
