Did you know that there will be a Oklahoma Black Bear Hunting Season this year? It’s a true testimate to conservation efforts that Sportsmen will celebrate Oklahoma’s first black bear hunting season. This rocks! Legal means of taking a bear is Archery and Black Powder only. This will be a first for Oklahoma hunters. But not everyone is happy with the new season. It seems that the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is throwing lifetime license holders under the bus. Many see requiring lifetime license holders to purchase a bear license as a slap in the face. Needless to say, a lot of Sportsmen are calling for a boycott of the Oklahoma bear license. One reason is the outrageous prices for the tags. They’re simply too much for what you get.
