One reason there is always a need for medical assistants as we have an aging population. There are always some that are retiring or new offices and hospitals that are opening up. There is no fear of this being a job that will be lacking in the amount of opportunities that are available for those that choose to take training in this area.
Additionally, it is much cheaper to pay a medical assistant to do something than a doctor, physician’s assistant, or even a nurse. So in this economy, employers are looking for a less expensive way to get the job done.
This is one field that is not going to be having a shortage of available jobs in the near future, so it may actually be easy to find medical assistant work.
