Purchasing leather chairs really is a buyer beware purchase and if you do not exercise caution, it could cost you a lot of money. One of the easiest ways to try and protect yourself is to directly ask the salesperson whether the chair you are looking at is made out of leather or some other kind of substitute material.
If your salesman assures you that the chair is indeed crafted from leather, just ask him to put that in writing on your purchase receipt. If, at a later point in time, you find out that it is made of something other than leather, then you will have some evidence in writing that you can use to request a refund or show to a judge in court.
