How to Start a Painting Business Part 2 of 3

The type of work can be varied. Painting individual properties can be easy to find from within the community that you live. For bigger projects such as working with real estate agencies or other companies that have a number of properties to be painted it is best to talk to them. A brochure of the type of services that you offer will be helpful.

Estimating and giving a quote about a painting job has to be done methodically after taking into consideration the type of job, the materials needed and time it will take to do the job. It will help if you measure the area and quote for each unit such as per square foot. With time you will learn to estimate just by looking at a property and the state that it is in to give an approximate quote. Quality materials will give a better finish and giving the owner the choice of choosing materials will be an option.
