The way to save money on propane is to buy the largest propane tank that you can afford. You need a tank that will hold enough propane to heat your home all of the three coldest months of the year. When prices are low in the middle of summer, fill the tank to the top. This will allow you to keep from buying propane when the prices are the most expensive, during the winter months. Of course if you use some efficient electric heaters to heat your home, you never have to worry about getting propane delivered or having to buy it. On the other hand, propane may be less expensive where you live than electricity, so you need to do a bit of research on your own.
