It’s not easy bringing a new dog to house in which a dog already lives in. No one knows how your dog will react. Usually it is easier when the dogs are the opposite sex. They are more willing to share their space and do not become very territorial. If the dogs are the same sex, the meeting is very difficult as the dogs become very territorial with each other. Usually you want the dogs to meet someone outside the home so it is not very territorial. Let them become friends and let them get used to seeing one another around. Once you get them to enjoy each others company, you start bringing them into the home and seeing how they react. Usually the dogs wont get along in the house at first, but with much training, it can be accomplished.
