Spring of 2010 is looking like it will be a year of increasingly higher heels. Extreme high heels are being created by many top fashion icons like Christian Louboutin and Yves Saint Laurent that will push the envelope of high heel height to 7 and 8 inches of potentially wearable shoes. Typically you find today’s high heels are reaching to 6 inches which is well beyond many women’s ability to successfully negotiate the streets wearing them. Shoes taller than that could very well spell disaster in their attempt for taller heels. It will be interesting to see the trend play out.
Many women today struggle with high heels over 3 inches. The very tall heel of yesterday was 4 inches. A 5 inch tall high heel shoe not too long ago was considered very extreme. Today it is not uncommon to find 4 to 5 inch heels everywhere from the workplace to the nightclubs.
