Unlike its brother the Hercules XPS 2.1 Lounge speakers, the XPS 2.1 50 offers a more classic design yet without compromising too much on sound quality. For a street price of around $50 dollars you are also getting 2 speakers and a subwoofer. Although the design is definitely better and more universally accepted, the sound quality of these cheap speakers are rather lackluster especially at high volumes when compared to the XPS 2.1 Lounge speakers. The lack of a remote may also be a deal breaker for some considering the price points between the two products are very similar. My suggestion is, if the design of the speakers is the determining factor than go for these, if not the Hercules XPS 2.1 Lounge speakers give you the better bang for your buck.
