Many people use their garage as not only a place to park the cars but also as a kind of workplace too, for handyman projects. Sometimes the kids like to hang out there as well, or use a corner of it for their band practice, or for playing indoor games in cold weather.
If you use your garage for more than storing your cars, or even if that is all you use it for, you may be interested in propane garage heaters. These heaters are designed to give you as much floor and shelf space as possible, in that they are usually installed up on the wall, similar to where a window air-conditioning unit may be installed.
The beauty of these heaters is that they are up and out of the way. It’s also very impractical, in most cases, to have a heater sitting on the garage floor as it limits car parking space and is also in danger of getting bumped or knocked over when the car comes in or out of the garage.
These units come in different sizes, some big enough to easily heat a three car garage. Most are powered by propane or LPG gas. Garages can also be pretty drafty places, though, so if you’re going to be spending a lot of time in there and using the heater often you may want to consider insulating your garage also, providing you leave plenty of good ventilation in place.
