Tip #3: Research the company offering the card – You want to make sure that you do a bit of research about the company offering these credit cards for bad credit to make sure that they have not had a bunch of reports or problems. There are some good companies out there – but you do need to research to ensure that you aren’t going with a bad one.
Tip #4: Keep an eye on the interest rate – There are way too many credit cards for people with bad credit out there that offer a sweet, low interest rate to get customers to sign up. Then, before a couple of months go by, the interest rate is jacked up to over 20%. This is a serious jump, and will add hundreds or thousands of dollars onto your current bills that you don’t need. Make sure that you read over everything and know what the interest rates are and when they can, and will, change.
