George looked at Corinth in surprise. “Baby Sue Landry? You’re kidding. I know her; I can’t just use her name.”
Corinth said, “Why not, we’ll tell her that we’ll invite her to the Christmas party.”
“You don’t know Baby Sue, do you.”
Corinth said, “No, why.”
George said, “She’s from a stiff uptown family and weird.”
“Well, I want you to call her and tell her we want to use her name. Tell her the Courier is prestigious. Lay it on thick. Don’t forget the Christmas party.” (87)
Next day George called Corinth and said he had something going on and he’d be in after lunch.
When George came in around three o’clock, he told Corinth, “Well, I’ve worked it out. Baby Sue said I can use her name on the advice column, and she’ll be looking forward to the party.”
Corinth handed George a stack of letters and told him to use heading “Get Your Ex Back” for the first column.
