The BlackBerry is going the way of social networking for the most part as it tries to gain market share through new applications that are connecting their users to the internet.
The first problem with this is the competition that BlackBerry is facing. With a little of 2,000 apps now it has not even come close to Apple’s insurmountable number of 50,000 application in their online store.
In addition to this, the demographic that Apple is reaching vs BlackBerry is completely different and should really be considered as they look to advance into areas they just are geared for.
While I really like the BlackBerry, whenever I think of it, I think of work and that I need to go into the office if I ever have that thing vibrating on my hip. If I see my iphone going off, I know it’s one of my friends looking to hang out or just telling me the latest. That to me is a big difference.
