You know you are pushing forty when the anti-aging cream commercials start becoming interesting. Its really quite strange to think about because I don’t really feel old emotionally – whatever that means. Although we are living in an image conscious world, I had actually deluded myself into thinking I had escaped most of that. Makeup and cosmetics really have never interested me. Oh sure friends would try and convince me of the benefits, but I just couldn’t be bothered. The only time I would do my face up was when it was something I wanted to do. Never when it was expected. Now, however, I’m wishing I would have paid more attention when friends tried to explain to me the benefits of different skin care regimens. Maybe then I wouldn’t be shopping for instant face lift products!
