There are a lot of people going out every weekend on a quest to locate vintage antiques in their neighborhood. Actually, those words don’t really work too well together because they conflict. Antiques are generally older than vintage items, but people without much of a clue go out looking for pretty much anything old nowadays. It might be for reselling purposes on a site like eBay, or it might just be to decorate their own homes. Whatever the reason may be, older items are part of a hot collectibles market that has managed to survive the strain of a reeling economy.
For those inclined to look for ways to make lemonade from lemons, there could be a nice opportunity to buy low on garage sale and estate sale items and then turn around and sell them at a nice profit.
