There is a bewildering array of loft ladders on the market today and making a decision as to the best one for your needs can be difficult. Ladders intended for loft use come in two materials, aluminum and wood the sort that you go for will be dependent on your budget. Needless to say the wooden variety of ladder costs significantly more than an aluminum loft ladder. The next predicament is in what format you would like your loft ladder to be – do you want a ladder that’s in two sections, three sections, telescopic or concertina? This decision is easily solved by looking at the head height that you have in your loft. If you over two meters of head height that you can use pretty much any loft ladder you choose. If you’ve got a low head height then you options may be limited to a three section ladder or a concertina/telescopic loft ladder.
