When bamboo shutters are installed they normally have a release apparatus which allows them to be removed easily. This makes it possible to clean the shutters without the aid of special equipment or major effort on the part of the resident. The wooden shutters can be wiped with a cloth on a daily basis and will not become worn or damaged. If your bamboo shutters are on the inside of your home, there is not much that will happen in the regular course of things to damage them, other than perhaps a child running a toy car into them. If they are on the outside of your home, however, there are more things to worry about happening, such as storm, wind and rain damage. Make sure to keep an eye on them and maintain them as needed.
