Snake boots have been somewhat controversial, almost surprisingly so since there is very little argument that these boots are effective at doing exactly what they advertise. But some people still have an issue with these types of boots and many people wonder if the cost is worth it.
So the following is a list of reasons why you might NOT want to buy snake proof boots
:
- You don’t live in an area with a lot of snakes. Swamps in the South and deserts in the Southwest are full of snakes. Alaska, Maine, or in a city? Not so much.
- You don’t go outdoors that often. If you spend a day at the lake, you’re not likely to run into a venomous snake. If you don’t constantly camp, fish, hike, or hunt then these are probably overkill.
- You live in an urban area. This should be pretty self explanatory.
While there are many great reasons to buy snake boots, hopefully this article helped to show the flip side and gave several reasons why buying snake boots might not be the right decision in your particular situation.
